Lynda Kay: Music Teacher

I fell in love with teaching while working as a volunteer in Llangollen Silver Band training section and retrained at Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester in midlife in order to teach professionally.

I am currently working as a free-lance peripatetic teacher of brass and piano, specialising in beginner to grade 5.

I have extensive experience of one-to-one, small group, and whole class teaching mainly in cornet/trumpet or piano.

Age range: 6 to 65 and special needs.

I regularly play with Farndon and District Brass Band.

All lessons are carried out in your own home.

Price: £18.50 per half hour inclusive of travel up to 10 miles from Ellesmere (SY12 0AB), distances beyond that cost £1.10 per mile or part mile.

Slots are available Tuesday to Friday mornings and “after school” to mid-evening. All brass band instruments are welcomed.

Excellent piano tutor, taylor-makes the lesson to suit the individual student. As an adult student, Lynda always encourages and praises me, even when I haven’t managed to practise much.

A helpful, friendly lady, dedicated to her music. She has taught my son piano for over five years and he still enjoys each lesson with her. I have lessons with her once a week and find her cheerful approach very encouraging. I would highly recommend this lovely lady, always willing to give that little bit extra.

Lynda teaches with the most enthusiastic and positive style, she is extremely supportive and encouraging. She has given my daughter the most wonderful learning opportunity in the world of music.
